Seeing that this is my first truck and i've never installed nor cared to know how to until now, i'm not very familiar with how everything will install. When i told a friend of mine, who's going to help me, that i got a 3" AS lift with the bull bar and nerf bars he was like "Dude your bumper's gonna be 3" lower than your body. Did you get a bumper lift kit? And your bull bar's gonna look retarded. And when you install your nerf bars there gonna be a big gap between the body and the bars and be sitting 3" lower than they should be." Is he right? Am i going to have an issue with the bull bar and nerf bars not looking right?

Lol sounds to me like he is joking around or he dont know what he is going on about. if you lift the truck 3" or 20" your whole front end will lift.

so it's not just a "body lift" per se, lifting the body off the frame. it's lifting body and frame?

Your friend has leveling kit confused with a body lift. Just a warning on the leveling kit. Most people agree that 3" is too much. It puts the cv axles and ball joints in a bad angle. Some people have experienced premature failure of these components. They will wear out faster with any leveling kit but a lot of people agree that 2.5" is a good stopping point. Hope it's not too late.

hmmm...i've read good and bad opinions about the 3". It's gonna be temporary anyway, maybe for about 6 months to a year. Then i'll take it off get 6" suspension. Hopefully i won't run into any problems.
