2009 Tailights, Tonneau, and Shackles
I am posting for my dad as he is computer illiterate.
My dad just bought a 2009 F150 STX Reg Cab Shorts bed in red.
He wants to do a few things to it, first of all he and I both hate the "altezza-like" tailight that it has stock (the whole chrome ring around the red parts) I relize this is Ford's clever way to hide the reverse light by incorporating it into the chrome outline. But is there any aftermarket companyies making a all red taillight with a chrome area only where it is needed for the reverse light?
I hope that makes sense???
And as another side note (gonna thread steal my own thread) does anyone make drop shackles and a black rough texture flush mount lockable tonneau cover for it yet.
And finally, 97-04 F150s are the best!!! Just had to start some stuff, LOL
Thanks in advance,
Chris

haven't noticed any tail lights yet, keep checking ebay or do a general internet search.
The Bakflip hard folding covers are flush mount with the rails and have a semi-textured finish to them. There is no keyhole lock on them, rather they "lock" when you close them and you just have to lock your tailgate handle and then no one can get in your bed. I have the Bakflip HD version which is all aluminum panels. It's more expensive than the Bakflip G2 version which has plastic panels. Email me through my profile and I'll hook you up with a source that sells the Bakflip at a decent price.

Those are nice but looking for more red where the black(dark red) parts are but do like the small reverse lights

See he doesn't know the exact name of the tonneau cover, he just descibes it as the one like the DPS F150s here in Texas have on thier trucks. He also said it fits flush and is black with a rough texture to it. I think he is refering to the Bakflip but then he said it was one solid piece and arn't the bakflips a folding tonneua cover?
that is the one! thanks guys
