Thoughtful touches missing on the F150
Things I have noticed... my FX4 doesn't have lights in the vanity mirrors, a fold up arm rest in the middle of the back bench seat, and mute button for the stereo on the steering wheel. Oh yeah, and the driver's side A-pillar handle.
Oh yeah, I really miss the steering wheels that shake at highway speeds from my 05 and 08. HA.
Someone mentioned that they didn't have rear map lights. My FX4 has rear map lights. Is there another trim that doesn't?

I wish they would have come with a sofa, love seat...ooo and a toilet. Then it'd be perfect. j/k :P
I think more interior lighting would be nice...and better floor mats. One thing that does drive me nuts is the orange color on the shift lights. The P RND...etc is orange. In my old vehicle, orange was bad.
Seriously though...a toilet would have been awesome.

I haven't noticed this, not yet anyways. Remember when I first saw the 2009's and kept pointing out how the rain channels no longer had that black rubber thing in them (compared to '04 model)? I kept saying how strange it was that they left a little piece of the rubber in on the rear above the rear window both sides, but the entire rest of pieces were missing from the rest of roof and down along entire edge of windshield. Perhaps this has something to do with it? Not sure what use those rubber pieces ever were, but maybe they did something after all? I'm talking about the black rubber pieces that were in the rain channels on the '04's along both sides, ran from bottom of windshield up sides of glass over roof and down to top of rear window rubber grommet - and now only a tiny bit of them are left in the very back of the '09 rain channels.
and I don't get your complaint about no arm rests for the captains chairs? (mentioned a few times by you). That is the whole point of having the padded center console lid! My arm/elbow rests perfectly fine on that.
This aren't deal breakers but I thought these 'touches' would have been nice if Ford provided the following on the trucks:
-window command to open/close the windows (and sunroof if equipped) by either pressing and holding unlock/lock button on remote or inserting key into driver's door keyhole and keeping it in unlock/lock position. As the window travels, releasing the hold on the button or key would stop movement (allowing the windows to remain partially opened/closed).
-a trim piece along the back edge of the hoodliner. Or tuck the headliner cloth up and over the back edge for a finished look. Currently, it looks like it was cut with a dull knife.
-the lock on the tailgate also controlled by remote control
-tire pressure readout option on all tires displayed on the message center
Any other touches you wish Ford had on the F150?

I'll second that vote for that Tundra-style rear window. (Only feature on the Tundra I like better than the F-150s).
And I added my own USB port to the console, but I agree, it was stupid for one not to be included.
Man, i'm glad you mentioned the hoodliner. I hadn't noticed it until I had my alarm/remote start installed and I was looking at the antenna mounted up behind the "F-150" area of the windshield. I was blaming the installer for untucking the fabric or leaving off a trim piece.

Nah. The Avalanche body style/quality is not close to the new F150. I've seen to many of my friends and my self included have problems with their Chevy trucks. I still have my 1968 Chevelle parked in the garage though. Love those old muscle cars.
