Tire help on 2009 - your thoughts?

Hey guys,

I have a 2009 4x4 SCrew XL. It currently has the 17" XL wheels with 255/65R17 tires. These are about 30". I am looking to head out to the junk yard and try to find a set of Ford OEM 18" wheels from an old Expedition or F150. I would rather have aftermarket but the country I live in sells no aftermarket wheels that would fit the unique bolt pattern on an F150.

My real question is that in the even I dont find wheels, I am still hoping to upgrade to 33" tires just to take up some space in the wheel wells. A leveling kit is out of the question right now as it would cost me 2-300 bucks to ship it here and another 3-400 for a place to install it (I have very few tools here).

What 17" or 18" tires would you recommend (must be a mainstream seller such as goodyear, firestone, michelin, kuhmo, etc.) and are there any issues with putting them on a stock 09 f150? I want to take up as much of the rear wheel well as possible as that is the biggest eyesore on the truck.

A decent tire is the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor. You can get them in LT285/70R17. That is a 32.8" diameter LR E tire. You can also get a LT275/70R17 in a LR C. The 285 also comes in a P series tires.
