Question White Sand Tri-coat & Line-X

Went to a Line-X dealer yesterday and found out that Line-X Xtra
does NOT come in this color. I'm not really sold on basic black. Do have
the tailgate step so that is black. Thinking of other possible colors that may look good ex; Color close to 4x4 decal, interior medium stone, gray, silver, white suede or that 08 Edge creme brulee.
Has anyone had a different color done??
By the way it is raining here again, so can not get pics. Only had one day clear since we got truck. Killing me.

What is your truck? Lariat, KR, XLT, Platinum? If you have a KR, you could continue the beige/creme color of the bedrails into the box. If you have black bedrails, a light color would work too - if the line-x guy could lighten up 1/2 tint of medium stone that should look good too.

If you are torn on the line-x color, you could compromise and use a rubber mat for protection, leaving the inside walls of the box as is.

big ol truck, My truck is a Platinum with medium stone interior. Thought of bed mat, like it, but I know I'd bang the fender with something for sure. I'm leaning toward colored Line-x. May like Med Stone. Just that once it's in, "IT IS WHAT IT IS " like it or not.

do they have just a regular white? If so, why not just use that, do you really think it would make that big of difference in this case? When I look at my truck, sometimes it does look more like a plain white. It's not like people are going to look inside your bed that much and tell you that the Line-x color doesn't match???

I was told it can be done in White Sand by someone at Truckgasm's shop in Fort Worth.

If you get a cover for the bed, who cares? Having some kind of cover provides a 55 cubic foot trunk, for as little as $200 for a decent quality soft cover.

Im pretty sure there are other brands of spray in liners that you can color match. My buddy does spray in liners, but i cant remember the brand he uses. Ive seen it and it looks good. He did one guys whole truck. He gets the paint code from the vehicles and thats what he orders and that gets mixed with the liner. So id say unless you are stuck on line-x. you should look into something like that. I think REFLEX color matches maybe??

It looks like they sprayed over your bed bolts and the rubber plugs in the header??? They should have removed all bolts, etc. before spraying. Did you tell them to do it that way?

here's mine with black. Line-x said they could match the white sand but i wanted black to match the bed rails and tailgate plastic. Basic line-x was the best match and even the bloke in shop said that if you get black then the extra cash for line-x xtra ain't worth it. Plus it made it look too shinny and didn't match the plastic. He had a test bed he sprayed with both types outside and they had been outside for over 5 years and they both looked just like they did when they was new. I also got him to spray the tailgate so that you couldn't see the paint work inside the bed area. It don't matter if you spray over the plastic caps but the bolts are meant to be left accessible
