"Chrome" Turn Signal Bulb Upgrade - Pics

I know it's not a big deal, but I thought I'd share some before and after pics from this simple mod, in case anyone was contemplating it.

I got the bulbs on ebay for like 10 bucks for the pair, took 5 minutes to install (no headlight removal, just reach up and swap 'em). They still light up amber and they seem to be just as bright as the originals.

Original:

you had to take the headlights out right? I didn't see room to reach back there.

I had some used chrome bulbs from my 04 but I just gave them away with the Harley lights I sold recently. I figured I'd better buy some new bulbs if I want to swap these since you have to go through the work of taking the headlights out.

No, I didn't have to remove anything. I just popped the hood and reached up. It was really quite easy.

^thanks, I must have read over the part on your original post about no headlight removal.

now if we can only figure out what to do with those worthless orange reflectors on the outside of the mirrors. I'd like to paint them black but they don't appear to pop off very easily.

Do yours have the bluish look when not lit?
