F150 Sync and Driver Services?

Does the 2009 F150's version of MS Sync support the new "Driver's Services" features? On the sync website it says that theses new features will be available Spring 2009 for 2010 MY vehicles:

- Traffic reports with text-message traffic alerts
- Precise turn-by-turn directions
- Business search, news, sports and weather

I believe you need the full NAV system to get these features. If you have it, you can go to syncmyride.com and grab the update on a USB thumb drive and install it yourself.

If you have Ford's Navigation system and Sirrus Travel Link, all of the feature you have listed are available utilizing Sync...

Traffic reports, Sports Score, Fuel Prices, Movie Listing, Weather report ( 1day, 5 day and radar maps are avail from Sirrus travel link through the Nav system display. Selection of the function and sub ****ions are availabe through the Sync interface.

Finding Businesses and making phone calls to them are available from the POI interface within the NAV system using both the touch screen or sync interface. When the business if found you can call the listed phone number through the sync interface to your Cell phone.

Turn by turn directions is available through the Nav system which can be set up using voice commands or touch screen inputs.... I don't know of any new features on the existing system.

So does not having the NAV vastly limit the power of the entire system?

I sure does. The nav system make a massive difference as you can then use sirius travel link service. Plus the nav without the travle link is great.

Don't the nav systems include sirus in the package?

A Sirius Reciever is included with the Nav system and a trial subscription to both Sirius Radio and Sirius Travel Link is included with the Truck purchase. I belive that the SIrius Travel link subscription is 6 months and Sirius Radio is 12 months, after these periods you are responsible for the subscription charges if you want to continue to use them.
