Advice for skiers and riders

On a ski trip this weekend I had a pleasant surprise: the tailgate step makes a perfect seat for putting boots on and off. The height is ideal. Previously, I always struggled to find a good spot to do this. DO not pass on this option if you are a skier!!

***** - where were you when I ordered my truck!! I did pass on the "manstep" thinking I would'nt use it - but that would make a great seat to put on the dirt bike boots as well!!

Great advice

I think people would have to be crazy not to got for the manstep. Like you say it works as a perfect seat for sitting on and not only that but you try walking up onto a tailgate with a 80lb bag of dust. I can walk straight upto the truck and straight in the bed with no effort. Normally i would load up the tailgate with the dust then get in the bed and move it all again. Im sure it wont be long before we see these steps on every truck.

Mine has the step. I didn't necessarily want it but it was on the truck I wanted. I gotta say I'm glad its there now. Sure, I could live without it but its already come in handy while loading the bed with building supplies and I'm not getting any younger either... lol. Looks like it'll come in handy for next year's snowboarding season now too.

Honestly, the tailgate step makes more sense to me than step tubes on a regular height 4x2. Seems I end up stumbling on mine more than I actually find them practical. They look nice though.
