When doing research to my sync problems i ran across some forums talking about the lack of palm compatability with sync. Try google.

I just got back in from updating sync in my truck and i am now able to download my phone book which is what i wanted. Try the update first @ syncmyride.com

jm - probably not overly helpful...but I ended up getting rid of my Treo as it didn't sync well with my BMW and replaced it with the Blackberry Curve that integrates much better with my vehicles. Check out the Ford Sync site and the various brands they have tested there. Good luck

The only way I could get my Treo to work is: Place a call... before the time dispalys (connecting to carrier) press the cancel headset button... Once the call connection has been made it will resync to the phone.

Not sure if this will help but the wifes Verizon phone was disconnecting and acting all retarted. We went to the store and they updated the firmware version in her phone and now it works like a champ.

Thanks for all the help guys. The SYNC website was very helpful. I was able to get the answers I needed. I will be upgrading my phone this summer. Going to try to find a phone that will support the text message stuff.
