What tires for an XLT 4x4 w/Chrome package?
What tires for an XLT 4x4 w/Chrome package?
Picked up my 2009 XLT last Thursday.
With the 4x4 XLT Chrome package, the invoice states I should of got Goodyear 275/65R18 All-Terrain tires.
What I got was the Goodyear Wrangler 275/65R18 all season (Goodyear SR-A).
Anyone else have the 4x4 XLT Chrome package? What tires did you get? I told the dealer I should of got the the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S, which are the OEM All Terrain, but they are saying no and they will not change them.
The 4x2 XLT Chrome package comes with all season tires.

Thanks for the replies.
But, what Goodyear Wranglers? The AT/S (All-Terrain) or SR-A (highway all season).
When I pay for a package that states Goodyear All-Terrain, that is what I expect to be put on.

i got the sr-a's not very impressive looking tire hopefuly I'll only have to use them on winter and then put some toyo open country M/ts on
I was at the dealer the other day getting my oil changed and as usual I took a quick look at the 09's. For Tires I saw Goodyear SR-A, Goodyear wrangler AT-S, General Americtrac TR, And pirelli on the 20" rims. I did not pay a lot of attention to what trim level had what but the dealer did mostly have XLT's with a few lariat's.
It might have something to due with what plant made the truck also. And if they had "extra" tires form the 08's sitting around, I believe this might be the case because I thought the SR-A replaced the General tires but yet I still saw a few 09's with them.

If you think the SR-A's suck in the snow, wait until it rains! Snow is their best performing environment.
I sold back my OEM tires when I bought my 2003 F-150 for $300 credit towards different ones. I'd do it again, but chose different replacement tires.

I'm not exactly sure what OEM all terrain tires they are supposed to be (pretty sure it is the Goodyear AT/S), but when I pay $1400 for the 4x4 XLT Chrome Package and it clearly states All-Terrain tires, I expect All-Terrain tires to be put on the vehicle not the All-Season junk I got.

That's just my opinion, but if your options list on your invoice says you get a certain tire, then you should get it.
My invoice states "P275/65R18 OWL All-Terrain" but I got the SR-A also.
I really doubt dealers are swapping tires. If you have a beef, take it up with Ford. If you don't like the tires on the truck, either replace them or negotiate accordingly when you buy it.
So some other truck on the lot got my tries/rims. It does happen alot. I think every time my dad has bought a truck they have switched the tires/rims for him as part of the deal.
But if it states it on the invoice I would really hold them to it to get the correct tire.
As far as the invoice showing: "P275/65R18 OWL All-Terrain", yes the wrangler at-s is the tire that should be on there.
