ordering a new f 150
hi! I'm going to ordering a 09 f 150 and was wondering how long would it take to arrive? the dealer said 4-8 weeks. I'm in alberta btw.
thinking about either an blue flame fx4 luxury or black lariat with chrome package.Im haveing a decision problem.lol

My dealer said 4-6 weeks for mine. It's the 4th F-150 I've special ordered, and every time it's always been 4-6 weeks.
Buy whatever suits your needs. I know a lot of guys on here love the FX4 models, but a lot of them prob do some actual off-roading or towing or lots of modding. I do very little actual truck work with mine, so I prefer Ford Truck stock look and interior luxury, so the Lariat would be my choice. It's all in what you would use it for, and of course, what you just plain like the most! Heck, someone on here will eventually buy an STX in amber gold!!! ... or maybe not.

Good luck with your new F-150 and happy to have you joining the "Going NUTS while waiting" group..of which I am the President and founder
...personally I'd get the Lariat, but currently owning a 2005 black Lariat 4x4 Screw that sits outside -it is a LOT of effort to keep it looking good...these baby's are BIG especially when you wash one! Black is the best looking color - but it really depends on what you like...either way, I'm sure you will be digging your new F-150...they are a great truck!!
I ordered my new Platinum 4x4 in Silver...hoping it will stay cleaner looking

I would go with the Lariat 4x4 Screw. I just picked mine up this past saturday. I got it in black with the chrome package, the stock 18's and the luxury package and it looks great. I'll try and get some pictures up by the end of the weekend. I got lucky I went to the dealer one day and truck was just being delivered. I went back the next weekend, took it for a test drive and drove it home later that afternoon.

Personally I didn't like the Fx4 and IMO it's just a decal on the side . it has what couple skid plates stiffer shocks and aggressive-er tires. you lose the chrome grill and ride comfort, crappy rims ...... the fx4 i took out road rough compared to my xlt..just my opinion.
i've seen the gold in person and wow it will take just the right person to buy that truck!

hi hotlap. i have joined you in the wait group.lol i went for the lariat in black,chrome package buch of other stuff.now the wait begins.wonder if i should ph them and see if its in yet. i hope its 4-6 weeks but im not going to hold my breath.
