09 Platinum on the Way!!

Okay so my 2009 Black Platinum 4x4 Short Bed will be here in about 6 weeks. Time to start buying the goodies for it. Few questions:

Will the Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks for the 2008's fit my truck?
Basically, I want to put 35's on it with it being leveled (6" lift with aftermarket wheels later on).

Also, is it even worth changing the exhaust on the 2009's?

And the question I need the most help with. What are the best options for All Terrain Tires in a 35" size? I don't really care for the tires sticking out that far past the edges, but I want a good on road tire, good mileage, and good offroad capabilities.

Thanks!! And I'll post pics as soon as it comes in.

Sport - sorry no feedback on the mods...I just ordered my 09 today. Did have a question for you though - what color interior did you order? If it was the Sienna Brown - did you have to order it as black leather interior?

Sport - never mind...I just re-read jvos's orig post and that is exactly what it is...you have to order the black interior to end up with the Sienna Brown leather seating...confusing for sure...but now I know!!

I dont think enough guys have an 09...

As far as exhausts go. How loud do ya want. I have Flowmasters, and dig the sound. I personally do not think they help with gas or horse power. They make my truck sound faster, and I have had them on three vehicles.

Yeah the mod scene for the 09's is way low at the moment. Not many company's are Even out with a full exhaust that will fit the 09's and it's prob gonna be a few more months before you see any great deal of after market kit.

I believe Magnaflow's site lists a cat back for the 2009. Wonder if it's the same as the '08?

Well I guess that covers the exhaust. I'll just have to wait and see what's available when my truck comes in (if I even want to change it).

Anybody know about the shocks, or the tire sizes and tire recommendations?

For what its worth i bought the As kit instead of the shocks. I wanted to keep the stock ride and the bilsteins are a bit more stiff. I have a custom stereo going in, in about 2 weeks. Then i will get a Tonneau cover from Under Cover.

I am also going to be the test truck for Grillcraft's new grill for the 09 trucks sometime in march. Cant wait for a new grill.

Wheels and tires will come next year when the stock tires have worn down more.

Cdiddy you not happy with the Sony system? Did you get the premium audio or Nav package or just the basic package.

I got the stock system...nav option wasnt worth it to me. I love adding aftermarket stereo equipment to my cars. I will still keep the bluetooth and sync though.

Im the same i always rip out the factory system and install me own systems but this time around i been very impressed with the factory system. So far i have not come across a better system on the market that can do what the Sync/Nav can do and is so well intergrated to the truck. Sure goes loud for a factory system as well. Post up what you do about the sub setup as if im gonna do anything to the audio it will be that first. but i really dont wanna lose the space under the double seat for loading stuff.

I'd drive awhile the stock exhaust, unlike previous gens this one actually has a nice exhaust note. Generally its not worth doing just the exhaust... exhuast + intake + tune = more fun.

I'll be doing the aftermarket sound system myself, couldn't find one with the Sony system and everything else I wanted and the nav system isn't worth it. For those interested in doing the same, check out Rockford Fosgate's 3Sixty.2 processor. Sah-wheet!
