Backup Camera in Rearview Mirror

I'm getting ready to order an FX4 Screw 6.5 bed and I'm thinking about ordering the backup camera (non navigation version). Does anyone here have that configuration? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

Check out this video. I don't have it yet but I think it is a must have if you're not getting the nav. The reverse sensing system is also a must have - I use that every day. Don't buy one without it.

I have it in my 09 SCrew - love it. I like the extra little bit of security that there's not something or someone behind me when backing up, and will really be helpful when hooking up a trailer.

I would recommend the backup camera especially if your towing.

I've got a 2008 FX4 with only the reverse sensing, and it works okay.

Another guy I work with has almost the same exact truck with the backup camera.

What a difference it makes when lining up the trailer.

It also can come in handy in those really tight parking spots.

The reverse sensing system on my truck will go to a solid beep even when I am around 5 or so inches away.

With the backup camera, you can practically get right up to something an know you've only less then 1 inch or less before you touch it as you can visually see it.

After seeing the camera, I kind of wish I went with that option as well.

I'd recommend it, hope this helps out.

Good luck with your 2009, they are great I've been fortunate to drive a few of them.

I've got the camera in my '09. I was surprised at how good the image was in a 2" x 2" display. Haven't used it to hook up to the boat yet, but judging by the image, I think it will now be a 1 person operation.
