Requested Platinum internet quote

This makes you wonder...I was on Ford build and price web site. Requested an internet price quote from three local dealers, and said contact by e-mail. Next day I got 3 phone calls, no e-mails. Next day or two, I received some e-mails WITHOUT a quote. Responded to e-mails and said I am very busy this time of year, please send a quote from attachment with truck specs. After a few more back and forth I received ONE quote only. This one I just don't get, a fairly large dealer sent e-mail and the women on e-mail said the sales manager would sell me one at MSRP minus any incentives....... I responded with you have you got to be kidding me. They were not.
I am seriously interested in purchasing a new Platinum and could not believe how these guys responded to a potential sale. Not one even made it interesting enough to want to go to dealer and talk. On top of that, I received 3 e-mails asking if I had received a response to my request for price info. Just don't get how they can be this way in todays economic climate.

Lol i wouldnt even bother contacting them back and when they call you which they will, you should tell them that you have had a quote of invoice minus rebates so unless they can beat that your gonna go elsewhere. Everywhere around here they are doing the 09's at invoice minus rebates.

Tell them to jog on then if they wont work with you. wont be no skin off your nose.

see if your local dealers actually have their own webpage and then see if the internet sales manager has an email address listed and just email that person directly.

Just ordered my plat loaded was going to get a lariat but the price was only a couple of grand difference i have a friend that owns a ford dealer and is giving me the truck at cost minus all rebates which should be more in January right now its 2300 he told me the next term starts in January and they usually increase the incentives.I don't have the dollars to an exact but i will know January 6th but right now its 38,000 with rebates and should be less with bigger rebates.his cost is 41,000 for a plat with the options i got.

Question

New09, you mentioned your Plat being loaded. Is that including such things as NAV, moonroof, etc? Just curious because it sounds like you got a great deal if it's a Plat with all the options you can add to it. I know there aren't a lot to add to a Plat, but some, such as NAV, up the price a hefty chunk. Same with you, Barritia. Sounds like you also got a great price if your Plat had all the extra bells and whistles too. Was just curious when you guys mention loaded, if you meant everything like NAV and such, or just a standard Plat but nothing extra added.

If Ford actually is willing to deal on these things like it sounds they did with you guys, maybe I won't wait until 2010, just order one this spring. The prices in the low 50's that building a fully-loaded Plat comes up with... yeah, right. Of course, I won't do a thing until I hear a resolution to the remote start issue. That's a 100% deal-breaker on a Plat for me. NO WAY I'd go without being able to remote start.

Anyways, thanks for the info guys. This is the kind of info that helps everyone get the best deal they can!

There was a few options i didnt get. My msrp was a few $ short of 50k but then i didnt get a couple of bits like max trailer, skid plate and cargo system but i did add bed extender and 3.55ls diff so it still came out to around the same price. because the truck i got was not the one i ordered. But your looking at around 41-43k for a fully loaded 50k msrp platinum. All depends and what rebates and deals the dealer is gonna do. I def wouldnt pay no more than 42k out the door after everything.
