It's been a while since I've posted here, but now that I've sold my good ole 97 (it was a GREAT truck btw) I'm really considering a new truck this Spring and I'm trying to decide between an 09 F-150 and a Double Cab Tacoma. Tough choice because I really like the looks of both trucks and I think they both have strong points.

One thing I'm curious about is the room in the 09 Supercab's vs the room in my 97 Supercab. Does anyone know if there would be much difference in the rear cabin space between those years? I'd like a little more room than my 97, but I think a Supercrew would be overkill.

I will check them out in person before buying, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experience. It seems like the trucks have gotten bigger since the 97's but it's hard to tell if it's just looks or if they truly are larger on the inside.

I don't want to disappoint you, but I recently sat in the backseat of an '09 Supercab, and it actually seemed smaller than mine. The seats were a little more comfortable, but the leg room in mine is better.

Plus the back door handles on the inside of the truck are just stupid... And the dang seatbelts are attached to the door. Ugh.

Just my two cents.

I guess you get another inch of room, but I think the seats stick out farther than the previous generation. That could be why mine feels roomier.
