I have just noticed that when the truck is on level ground and with equal pressure in the tires that the passenger side of my bed seems to be much lower than the drivers side. You will only notice this when standing behind the truck. I measured from the top of the tire to the wheel well and there is 5/16 difference. The front was only an 1/8 off. Even though it is 5/16 it sure does look like more. I have never noticed this on any truck but maybe I was just not looking. Is this normal for a truck?

 

thats not really normal. cant think of anything on the passenger side that would be weighing it down. can u take a pic of the angle that youre observing from so we can see?

Dam yeah i see what ya mean. There's def a problem there. I even tryed to level the photo on photoshop but made zero difference. You can notice it what ever. It's only very slight but something is def no right there.

 

How much fuel do you have in the tank? The springs on the drivers side are set up slightly stiffer to compensate for the weight of the driver and a full tank of fuel. Without your weight in the truck and a less then full tank you will see a difference from one side to the other.

 

Perhaps it's the Sony subwoofer.

Could always just take it in and see what they have to say about it at the dealership.

^^from the 09 workshop manual, as long as your within .472 inches or 1.2cm difference from side to side you are within spec. this is measured from the bottom of the rear bumpstop to the ground with a HALF TANK OF FUEL.

 

I can't see too much of a differance in that picture, but from experience at working in a truck frame plant, it could be an issue with the deck mounts for the bed of the truck. I used to be in charge of quality control and we had a lot of issues with cab/deck alignment. Tolerance may allow it though. We had a +/- 3mm height allowance. So total difference could be nearly a quarter inch from one side to the other.
