Awesome truck! I am very jealous! Havent seen any 09's around here yet and I know when I do I will probably scream but man I am jealous. Give us some updates on how it is once you put some miles on her.

Congrats!

That looks awsome. I'm not to sure about the first one though. I live in fort smith arkansas and a guy pulled up to work yesterday with a 09 lariat 4x4. I dono when he got his but it already had almost 3,000 miles on it.

Thanks for all the congrats! The common theme seems to be details of options and impressions.

In addition to the standard FX4 package: 5.4L 3V V-8; 6.5' bed/157" wheelbase; medium stone sport cloth interior; FX4 Plus package: reverse sensing system, power pedals, side mirrors w/ signal, heated, self-dimming; Drivers package: steering wheel controls, electrochromatic rearview mirror; power sliding rear window; tailgate step; pickup box access steps; Sony stereo 6CD, MP3, subwoofer; SYNCH (voice recognition is pretty cool!); 4" stainless tubular running boards.

There's a lot of bells and whistles standard. I had to get the book out to figure out a lot of this stuff! I'm very impressed with the comfortable, quiet ride. I rode in a new Durango last weekend and my FX4 makes it feel like an old army jeep in comparison.

The one thing I really don't like is the "FX4" font. It looks weird up close, but from about 10' to 40' away it looks damaged. Like part of it has been scraped away. Farther away it looks ok.

Could be. I'm just going by what the sales people at Pinnacle Ford told me.

I thought it was funny that I ordered it while in Iraq through Overseas Military Sales and Pinnacle was just the delivery location, but Pinnacle didn't waste anytime putting their logos and license plates on it!

I'd just remove those stickers. Use a hairdryer or heat gun on low setting and peel slowly. Any sticker residue can be removed with goo gone or bug/tar remover. I removed my FX4 stickers on my 04 and will on my next truck as well (probably 2010 FX4).

Does the dash message center by the odometer tell you the average MPG's, etc.? Because I saw on ebay a pic of a base model XL truck and it showed the Miles to Empty in that dash display.

Congrats on the sweet truck..

Could you tell me what the fender emblems say?

Are "FX4 F-150" emblems? Or something else?

Thanks man and enjoy the ride.

Oijudd-
I'm liking the stereo. Nice, crisp and clear. The sound is well balanced between the speakers so you don't have a dominant speaker. I really haven't tested the power to see if it will shake every vehicle within a 30 yard radius b/c that's not my style.

Steve-
The message center lets you cycle through and choose various messages including ave. MPG, distance to empty, % oil life, 2 trip meters, etc. and can display about 2 dozen warnings. You can also have it run a systems diagnosis.

Mach-
The front fender has a raised silver emblem with "FX4 F150". The FX4 font is about 1/4 the size of the F150. I like the new font. I believe it is larger than previous models but wouldn't swear to it.
On the back fender is a decal w/ "FX4" and "off road" underneath it.
I'll add some pics to the album.

Do all the FX4's have the shifter on the steering column? I much more prefer it below the stereo panel inbetween front seats like on my 07 FX4.
