Intergrated Trailer Brake Controller

Can someone tell me if this is standard part of the towing package or an independent item all together? I am leaning toward buying an 09 FX4 instead of the 08 because of this option (and a few others) but would like to know the possibility of finding one when they come out on a dealers lot vs. having to order one.

The real question is WHY didn't Ford also have the Upfitter Switches as an option? The hole in dash console across from the hole where the trailer brake controller goes is the perfect spot for them. Instead you get an empty hole (they'll probably call it a 'coin holder' or 'storage space') to collect dust (or two if you don't option the TBC).

Bizarre 2009 refresh omissions:
a. Upfitter Switches
b. Remote Start (Platinum only... real bizarre)
c. Spray-In Bed Liner

Ford seems to like those useless holes in the dash. My '04 has this totally useless little cubby under the cupholder near the floor. It isn't deep enough to put something in without it sliding back out when you accelerate, and it's too low to reach easily if you do find something to put in there. Especially when the cupholder is pulled out.

I'm not sure if it's included with either package but it is available with either package...

2009 F-150
REGULAR CAB / SUPERCAB / SUPERCREW
MAJOR PRODUCT CHANGES

Trailer Brake Controller is available on XL, XLT, FX4 and Lariat
and requires the Trailer Tow Package or Max Trailer Tow
Package.

The remote start is not available with the platnium i recently ordered it for my lariat and the trailer brake is available with any truck but you have to have the max tow package i have every page that that shows every option there is and what truck you can get it on.

I am well pissed that i cant have the remote start on my platinum now. I even asked them to have this as an option and they said that they can fit it when it's delivered no problem. I would like to know the reason why every other truck can have it but the truck you would think has it as standard cant have it? Im sure i can get it fitted after market but im curious to know for what reason they say i cant have it now? Someone told me because of the power running boards but i have seen many a suv/truck with remote start and power running boards so this cant be the reason.
