I have a family member that works for Ford in Ohio. He also said it would be much later this year. Although he didn't indicate when.

Why those who want '09's have to wait.

It's got to be all those '08's no one wants on the lots still, heck even some of those ridiculous Mark LT's.

I went to my dealer to buy new tires for my 2004 yesterday, and I had people jumping all over me to get me into a 'new' 2008 for really cheap. NO thank you!

I even said how I wished I could afford an '09, but they didn't want to talk about it, just kept pushing the great deals on the '08's, especially the 'new england' editions. Who the heck wants an '08 at this point? Heck, who even wants an '09 when the '10's will have much better mpg. Talk about crazy, good luck to them. I'd much rather sock my money into my 401k so I can retire early and wait for an actual remodel, thank you very much. Ford better get some damn hybrids and more fuel-efficient engines in their lineups asap, or their stock will continue to sit at the bottom of the toilet. My beautiful '04 will help remind me of their glory days until then.

It wouldn't surprise me if Ford released a limited number of "not for sale" 2009 F150's prior to the pushed out launch date. This might, key word, might aid a little in keeping interest in the 09. Note, this is totally speculation on my part.

I agree with svt. They might get 1 for people to look at for a day or 2 but it will not be for sale or even test driven. These won't be on dealers lots until October at the earliest.

I was at the dealership yesterday and asked about the 2009's coming in. They said they'd just received word this week that they wouldn't get any in until November at the earliest.

I was just at Vista Ford today in Woodland Hills, CA and asked the dealership when they would be expecting the 2009's to come in. He said they weren't expecting them till January because so many dealerships have so many 2008's on the lots.

I really hope this guy was just trying to get me to go for an '08 instead of waiting for the '09.....

That's what happens when you expect things.
We're used to vehicles coming out before the new year but why? Why is waiting untinl 2009 for a 2009 MY truck such a horrible thing?

When i went to place my order thry told me dec maybe late nov and i called a different dealer to order a truck to compare pricing and they arent even able to order trucks yet and i think its due to how many 08s they have on their lot before ford will let them take any orders for trucks.

Trsut me forsd not worried about the 2008s left on the lot. They will sell just like the old 2007s that were left on the lot with the 2008s came out. Personally if I were in the new truck market I would be at the dodge lot checking out the 2009 ram.woof
