The funny part? The ****ing wiper cowl won't stay together on that truck either. Don't they ever learn?

Its a good idea, except its about 10 years too late.
Introducing a diesel engine when diesel is almost $5/gal? Maybe if biodiesel was taken more seriously...

The fuel economy will pay for itself, even though diesel is $5. At least that is what Ford is saying. I plan on getting and 2009 FX4 this fall and in two-three years (with it being in service 1-2) I will take a look at what Ford has found out since I enjoy the way a turbo diesel drives.

Those pics suck and don't really tell us anything. I want to see the engine without all the plastic covers and cladding, I wanna see how it's packaged in there.

I like the underhood wiring! Is there an LED wiper nozzle option for 09?

You have to consider the fact that the diesel engine alone will probably be a $5000 option... It won't pay for itself, unless someone is making their own biodiesel for the thing to run on.

Slightly better than a Taurus SHO, but worse than a 1979 F-150 with the 300 I-6.

Yes HUGE concern with current diesels. Thats why this one will have urea equipment instead of particulate filter etc. We wait to see if it will be that much better than current offerings. Prove it Ford.

Ya It'll have both... Much Better!

The Filter will reduce the Particulates and the Urea will reduce the NOx
