I was almost gonna call a bluff on that being a diesel, but the exhaust tips sold me on it being a diesel. Thats tricky with the gasser tach.

cool find

but what is this smaller tank crap that we'll have to fill periodically to pass emissions? will it be required to ensure the truck runs okay, or is it just a tinker toy that can be ignored unless needed?

I'm not so sure I like the two-tone paint.

That's like the truck I saw on a flatbed semi trailer being hauled west on I-80 by Lincoln, Nebraska a few weeks ago. Had the current body bed with an '09 front end on it. Guess I didn't see it long enough to determine what type of exhaust it had on it.

That's the Urea Tank. To meet the 2010 emissions many manufacturers have choosen to use this method to reduce the emissions levels. They are saying it needs filling at regular oil changes.

saw that as well F150soon, but

honestly, I don't care about emissions, nor will I ever live in a state that requires them. it's going to be highly annoying if that tank is required to be filled and you can't just ignore it

oh well, I guess I could live with that to have a diesel F-150

I'd say if you get caught by the DOT with an empty urea tank, you'll be in a little bit of trouble.. Probably a similar deal to cutting the DPF off of a current diesel engine's exhaust.

You mean the "DIESEL FUEL ONLY" sticker didn't give you any clues?

I would suspect it will sop the truck when you run out. Anyother way and the EPA would be all over Ford. Doesn't Benz already have this system? What happens to them?
