It's an XLT so it may be optional or it's hiding.

it will probably be just like the current model where the rear vents only come with the floor shifter console in the FX4, Lariat, KR, etc.

The hood on that thing looks awful. And the 4x4 decal...it looks like it was stuck on as an afterthought, like something you'd get made at the local vinyl/sticker shop. The interior looks good though.

I agree. That 4x4 sticker looks right out of the 80's. Why do they even need to put those silly stickers on anyway?

I don't like that hood at all.

I don't like the interior, especially the dash.

I don't like that there is no manual transmission.

I do like the headlights and taillights.

I do like the color of those seats.

I do like that it is built off the same frame as the current gens.

I like the power dome hood. Have you seen one in person? The old trucks look a bit wimpy compared to the new truck.

I think with Ford going "bigger" is going to be a hard sell now that the gas prices are at the levels there are now.
Interior looks great along with the gauges. But, that big splashed on grill (looks just like the GMC) and with the oversea's looking tail lights gotta go. Trash those decals too! I wish Ford would not over do the square look it's almost hard on the eye's now. Hey Just trying to give an honest opinion here.

Ford has to go bigger...they have to make room under the F150 for the F100.

Might not be such a bad idea. Seeing as there's a rumor the Ranger is done after 2009, an F100 might have a market. If it had roughly the same stats as say the 1997-1999 F150...perhaps 250-300 HP, 300 ft/lbs, could tow 6500 lbs, carry 1500 lbs AND get close to 20-25 MPG, that might be a winner. Maybe a bit smaller ecoboost v-6 than what's slated for the '10 F150, like perhaps a 3.0 version.
I have to say something like that would be more of what I could use (overall) for my contractor business instead of these 400HP 1/2 tons. I have no need for that much HP or need anywhere near that much torque. I don't have to tow 10,000lbs or need living room space for the back seat. I understand there are guys that do. What I NEED is an 8' bed, supercab and the best fuel mileage possible. My '98 4.6 2WD 150 does just fine. It's just getting old.

I've heard the F100 rumor going around periodically and if that does happen, I think its just another way for Ford to stay on top for a while longer. Afterall, they'll have another F-series to throw in the mix for cumulative sales right where as the Ranger wasn't a part of that mix.
