2009 - 365HP at Minneapolis Auto Show
Even if so, I am still gonna wait for the 2010 for the new engine line up to see were the new F150 is really going to be at engine wise.
Good to here though, as it should help out first year sales.

Did he say that as part of his presentation, or just when speaking directly to you?

Until Ford (corporate) says it directly, I don't believe it.

IF that was true, the '09's should sell well (as well as any big vehicle with gas prices this high, anyways). That would be really good for Ford.
I was having a very hard time seeing how anyone -other than the totally uninformed- would buy an '09 when the '10's are supposed to have more powerful, and more importantly, better MPG engine lineup.
And even people like myself who hate driving around in the "older" style when the new ones are driving by me wouldn't be too aggravated because with gas prices so high few people are buying these big vehicles anyways, so waiting until 2010 wouldn't be too difficult to do. So this is good news for Ford; again, IF it is true. Of course, I'd still love to see some MPG more than power, but power is second on the list.

I couldn't really care less about the horsepower ratings for the new truck. The 4-speed is what's holding the current truck back, not the engine. The 5.4 makes very good low end torque, and with 6 gears it will stay in that low end torque a lot more than it does with 4 gears.
I think the 6 speed is going to wake the truck up just fine.
