Popular Mechanics is right: "Design is subjective"

To me, the 09 Dodge looks poised to vomit, or cough up a hairball or something. Frankly, I would rate it the least attractive full size truck, and I actually liked their '08 model.

 

Dodge's 08 ram looks far worse than the 09 ram. The 09 ford f150 looks far worse than the 09 dodge ram. But that is just my subjective opinion.

 

I didn't think that Dodge could make the Ram front end any worse-looking. However, they proved me wrong with the 09 design. It's terrible. It looks even worse than the Tundra front end - and the Tundra is hideous in my opinion. Dodge has had the same basic front end design since the early 90's. It's just time for something new.

 

Agreed. I still can't believe they found a way to de-throne the new Tundra for "ugliest truck on earth."

*Oh, and I'm not too worried that Ford didn't get the nod from Popular Mechanics....last time I checked PM wasn't the most reliable source for determining which new car or truck to buy LOL

design is subjective.

But they should also look at the complete truck. The Dodge and Nissan are all about the engine. That's it. The new Ram is miles ahead of its' predessessor. But the previous Ram was like 5 years behind the Chev and Ford in interior design.


Also, parlour tricks like bed storage shouldn't make or break a model.

 

I think the new 09 dodge ram looks hot both outside and inside. very sport looking and the best looking truck exhausts I have ever seen.

 

In defense of the Ram..

It's got all the new goodies that Ford has. It's got Sirius TV in the back. It's got tons of storage. It's got better motors. And it looks pretty good I think. The dual exhaust is cool and new.

The only thing that Dodge screwed up on since 02 is the lack of an "Extended" cab. A lot of people, including myself currently, have no need for 4 full doors.

One down-fall dodge has always had is rear-ends failing. This new one supposedly has a new rear-end. Hopefully they fixed the bugs.

 

Dodge trucks have always looked bad, always have and always will be a POS truck.

you don't need to know ANYTHING to know that when looking at a Dodge, that a Dodge truck is the ugliest truck on the road. Dodge trucks have many many problems, always have had problems. They havn't changed that ugly front end of there Dodge trucks in almost 15 years now, still as ugly us the day it came out

 

I never liked Dodge Trucks, they are cheaply screwed together, use cheap thin sheet metal, rust like a ungalvanized nail, & leak oil like a pasta strainer............how do I know, I had a 1994...........

Your comparing your 1994 Dodge Ram to the new 2009 model?

The ugliest truck on the road? That would make the Tundra the second ugliest? It's all subjective, I think the 2009 F150 will be the ugliest truck on the road and the '09 Ram is a work of art.
