09 grills
After looking at the griils for the 09's http://www.fordvehicles.com/2009f150/
it appears that the STX and FX4 have the same one with a removable center section and a paintable surround, like the current models. The XL looks to have an all black version of the STX, FX4 grill. The XLT has a chrome version of the same setup. The Lariat and King Ranch have the same grill and it looks like a one piece design, and the Platinum has it's own grill, which is also a one piece.
Overall, there are only 3 different designs, the 3 bar setup on the XL, STX, XLT, FX4. Then there is the 2 bar chrome style on the Lariat and KR, and the Platinum grill.
I would guess that you could mix the 3 different surrounds (plain black, painted, chrome) with the 2 different centers (plain black, chrome) of the 3 bar design grills to come up with the combo you want. Of course you could also swap the entire setup or custom combo onto any trim level you have.
