You obviously don't tow either. I do, alot in the summer. Merging and passing is a scary deal with my 5.4 when I have my 6K lb camper on the hitch. The 5.4 gets it moving with no problem but it has nothing left once your rolling. Having even 50 more HP would make a huge difference.

That doesn't solve the issue of Ford not putting enough HP in a STOCK engine to allow it to have adequate performance on the highway for merging and passing with a load.

Thats what people dont understand....Tq gets it moving but HP keeps it moving. You can have all the tq in the world if your only going to drive slow
