2009 F-150 Platinum

Once again ford has used tiny guages and put them out on the sides where they are the least usefull. Personally I'd like my speedo in the middle and nice and large, but instead Ford puts a "platinum" logo in the middle cause heaven forbid we forgot what trim level we bought when were trying to figure out if we need to hit the brakes when we pass by a trooper... After haveing my FX4 for past 4 years its really gotten on my nerves. I aways preferred the lariat guages. Mind you Ford has spread this "side & small" system across the lineup, Fusion, Escape.... Crap an old 87 F-150 had an easier to read speedo. I realize they are trying to mimic the look of a chronograph watch, but who cares.

the rake is the angle of how much the nose points down versus how high the back sits up. Leveling kits wipe out a rake on a truck by making the front sit a level height equal to the rear height. My truck has a terrible rake looking at it from some angles, but im too cheap to get a leveling kit cuz im trying to get out of it into something new

Yeah, they need to go back to how the pre-2004's sat. A 2003 FX4 looked like an off-road truck right out of the factory; the truck sat fairly level and looked sweet. My 04 FX4 (before I added the leveling kit) looked like it was ready for the drag strip. I hope they don't do that again, at least on the FX4, but it's not looking too promising based on those pictures.
The funny thing is: in all the F150 commercials, the trucks always seem to sit fairly level; not how they look at the dealerships.
