I like black, too. Are they as hard as they say to keep clean?

Manual, You will have plenty of time. Let everyone else buy the first year model. Then get the 2010 when all the kinks are worked out.

Red has always been my favorite... but that new dark blue is growing on me. Next will be blue or black.

That's what I was thinking... that's why I sort of fell for the '07 because I just wanted something reliable. Something I could swear on reliable type thing. My Ford '03 Escape I had before crapped out on me 12+ times leaving stranded in remote places with only 30k on the odo not to mention it almost killed me twice. My '99 F150 never left me stranded. It almost did once, and that was with the starter wire (it rusted off), but since it was stick, I just rolled it then popped the clutch when the key was in the on position. Started it right up and went down to the service depo. But since I didn't have to call a tow truck, I couldn't say it crapped out on me. I swear by the F150 and the F-Series.

Anyhow, by 2010, I will be out of college (only got 2 more semesters for my bachelors (yay!!!) degree) and in a secure job and going part time getting my masters. So I'll have plently of money to waste on F150s, super duties, and the mods that come forth.

I didn't like dark shadow gray at first (too plain), but now that I have one, I really like it. It cleans up really well and looks great after a good wax job. A little chrome really sets it off. I would like to see a two-tone like the super duties with DSG on top and a black strip on the bottom. I see one on the way to work and it is really sharp!

Of course, I won't be able to buy again until the '11's are out. Wife keeps saying: "I get a new car next!"

Im going to go with the dark blue w/drk shadow grey. I just hope I can save the paint with this truck. I would hate to see how scratches show on that color. I thought grey would hide them, but no. Not at all. I think my hard core mesquite beating days are over though.

I wasn't a fan of the lighter colors when I bought my '97 Dark Toreador Red. But after 7 years of trying to keep that dark color clean, my 2004 in Arizona Beige has been MUCH easier to keep looking clean and sharp all the time.

I hope they have something along the same lines for 2009 for color choice, because that ugly off-white/sandstone or whatever they call it- that they have now is not anywhere near as nice as the beige. It just looks like a white truck turned ugly by the sun/abandonment.

I do miss the two-tone, though. It really makes the truck pop, especially on those dark colors, like the green King Ranch with two-tone Arizona Beige. Be-auti-ful.

Speaking of which, I wonder if they'll have the King Ranch right away? They never have before at a launch, but I thought I heard somewhere they were trying to have a lot of options ready at launch to help turn things around for the company and really make a big showing. Then again, maybe I was just dreaming...

the 03 harley silver/black was the best two tone ever made on a truck......wait no on any vehicle that i can think of, a kid at my school tried to do a two tone on his ram, first off the paint job sucked, lines weren't straight and i don't think it flowed well on the ram like it did on the harley

My father had a black truck, and several people I know had/have black cars. They show every scratch and swirl mark no matter what you do. Boy they look gorgeous coming off the Ford dealership lot, turning onto the main road, and heck, they may even stay that way until they reach their destination that first day of sale. I say go black only if you LOVE to wash and wax, like every week. My dad's black truck showed everything no matter how careful he was. No more black, that's our motto after that one.

I had Dark Toreador Red for 7 years, and yes it showed road grime because it was a dark color, but boy it cleaned up nice, and wasn't nearly as finicky as the black in showing every minute blemish. I've though a lot about the dark green w/two tone, but then again, the darker the color the more work to keep it looking nice. But go too far and you get White, which has to be the most boring color ever.

Then there's silver. I can tell you, for 7 years I had my '97 F-150 Dark Toreador Red w/Silver Frost Metallic two-tone, and the silver areas NEVER EVER looked dirty. Talk about an easy color, just don't know if I'd get bored of it. I wonder what the guys who bought yellow have to say about upkeep, I know nothing at all about yellow and how it holds up and if it shows swirls or anything, and of course, if you just get plain sick of it.

To each his own, I'm sure some guys out there LOVE a white truck, and I ain't gonna argue. They look great if they don't get that sickly yellowish hue to them. When I see a fellow F150 drive by I smile no matter what color it is... well, except for maybe that AWFUL turquoise blue they made in '97-'98. My GOD what was Ford thinking, or the person who actually BOUGHT that color...
