I want.

The truck to have a higher payload, like 2300 lbs on all models.

I want better quality control with no stupid mistakes like the laundry list on the current model. I want to beable to merge into traffic without shi..ing my pants. I want a hood that doesn't vibrate when I drive on the interstate, I want a rearend or tranny that doesn't clunk when I step on the gas, I want a truck that will last more than 75k without a catastophic failure.
Ford are you listening?

Also I want more gauges, if they are going to brag about the towing capacity and such then I want tranny temp gauge and a load gauge. How about the heavy duty having full floating axles like GM's! And how about at least a 5 speed auto and the option of a six speed manual in these!

A) Payload. Well, that's why I had to go back to a 250. Loading up for a good weekend of camping with a family of four, and I was overweight by about 350#. Not that the Supercrew couldn't handle it, but the springs were FLAT.

B) Laudry list? I feel sorry for you. I have had a new truck+ each year, with most at at least 50K on the ticker (except this last F-150), and never had a laundry list. My 2005 F-150 came the closest with a few minute items, but so far, ALL my Fords have been better than my friends Dudges and Chebbies.

C) Merging? Two words.... TROYER PERFORMANCE. You won't regret it. IF I ever go back from Superduties again (and I reserve the right) my next F-150 will be a diesel. But if it is a gasser by some stroke of luck, it will be Troyered.

D) The clunk? Clutch packs in the rear-end? Been there in 2005. I agree, some had this. Find a good dealer and be persistent. If it's out of warranty, well then, maybe an aftermarket rear-end is in order. My wifes Tahoe spit universals at 3K, the rear end at 28K, and the tranny at 54K. Hopefully you won't judge all Furds by your infortunate experience. Sometimes we get the raw end of the deal. Hopefully your dealer can minimize your pain. Good luck.

What do you drive now? Same rig?

Smoke

Well then make sure and not get a Tundra. I almost bought one, but decided to rent one for a day just to be sure. Yikes, big engine in a light duty body w/ a plastic interior and low headroom. My 1997 F150 has never let me down. Other than one oxygen sensor, I have only replaced wear parts. I plan on getting a 2009 XLT SC as soon as they arrive; hopefully in 2009.

the HD 1500 from GM is not a full floating axle..you need to jump to a 2500 to get that

Smoke, did I read that right? Did you already get yourself a new Super Duty? That Mohogany KR didn't work out after all?
