It would be nice if Ford gave the Truck Performance crowd something like this in a Single Cab and have it as the latest version of the last SVT LIGHTNING! Hell, Ford puts so much into these Stangs and I understand, because its their flagship performance car but man, give the guys who like rapping Sports Cars at the track on Friday nights in their trucks something we can have fun with..

The new 13' Shelby GT500, 5.0 GT, & Boss 302 is far more than enough. The Raptor is really nice, but not everybody is into Baja Style trucks & I think that 6.2 in that truck should've been a DOHC 4V, but that's another argument.

But I definitely agree with you on this..
Who knows what Ford has up their sleeve though. their really on top of things. Durrdge & GM are gonna have to come on with it.

I don't think you can go wrong with either engine! They both rock!

I think when it comes to the lightning ford is missing the boat. It would be an easy thing to do. Reg cab shortbed, fancy wheels and a sc 5.0. Even if they threw a 6.2 in there it would be sufficiant for what the crowd is after. A 6.2 would be fast enough for those who want one to leave alone and a perfect platform to tune and throw a compressor on top for those who can't leave anthing alone. You can't even special order one if you wanted to do it yourself. With all the time and money wrapped up in making the raptor you think it'd happen eventually. How many people who own a raptor have jumped it at 80 mph? Not how many lightnings have been matted just to watch the tires roast for the hell of it?

That--that's...nice. I'll keep on dreaming, now. I don't wanna wake up just yet--I'm having visions of sugarplums dropping that bad boy into fourth going down the Nurburgring, and the SWEET sound of that exhaust ringing...
