Debating on getting Rancho 4" lift.

I am really interested in getting the 4" lift since it won't be as big as 6" and can use my truck for work still. I get in an out of the bed all day long.

So I am thinking the 4" lift with my current 33's would be a good setup. I don't want to do any sort of spacer lift like AS since that caused me bad problems.

My other choice would be to go with some sort of coilover in the front only like KING shocks but they only give barely a 2" lift.

My main concern is that if I spend the $ for a full suspension lift is Rancho good quality? I don't know if I like that they reuse your stock coil when with fabtech you can get a whole new coilover with their lifts.

rancho makes a good kit and for the reused front shock all the kits do it. but they usually sell a up graded shocks to add to the kits

Yea I would probably to that route and get the new shocks as well.

One thing that I am going to call Rancho about is the rear lift is a block. I would rather use an AAL to also achieve higher load capacity. Wonder if I could get the setup like that.

Ok I am pulling the trigger on the Rancho 4" lift kit with upgraded RS9000XL Shocks. Going to try and figure out another way to lift the rear instead of using their block. I rather do some sort of AAL for more load capacity.

how so ?

only if they can prove the lift caused the problem then they will void the warranty on the suspension

Exactly what I was going to say...

If your air conditioner brakes your lift won't void that being covered under warranty. etc etc

How much $ do you think it would cost for the lift to be installed?

Not sure if it's directly related, but still interesting.

Wow!! That scares me to go with the rancho lift now. I had bilstein 5100's on my taco with not a touch of rust on them.

I would guess something like $500-1000 to have it installed?

Yea I was thinking more towards the $500 range. Still debating the thoughts of getting rusty shocks.

I wouldn't worry about the Rancho's rusting. I have run Rancho's several times in the last decade and never had a problem.

That guy probably had a leaking shock that he didn't notice for a long while. That in combination with the weather from MA caused that. I doubt you would have any such problem where you’re from.

Bilstein is a better quality product so if you decide to go with them you won't be disappointed.
