Cool FORD2004F150 - AMP STEPS are on - Details and PICS inside!

I got them via http://www.electricstep.com/

These guys are amazing! Fast shipping and great customer support.
They are offering us a discount here at F150online with the keyword: powerstep

The install was pretty strait forward. About 3 hours including taking the OEM steps off and drinking beer.
(I still have the OEM steps if anyone is interested.)

I absolutely love these AMP Research steps.
The work great and are very solid. I’ve got some looks when entering and exiting the truck. Everyone that has seen them loves them.

Anyway, here are the pics. Enjoy!

those are very nice when tucked up.

few questions

1. how fast do they drop/raise?
2. can they hold my 270 lbs butt without breaking? the OEM steps can, but I'm not so sure about aftermarket

1. They deploy so fast and retract that before I can get the door opened they are ready. Fast man!
2. I believe the instructions say 600lbs weight limit... I'll double check tonight.

thanks...also got another question

how sturdy are they (not in terms of weight). I've slid my current steps along rocks and a few other things...my truck is easy to highcenter they didn't bend (don't know why?) and still look good. I'm sure your steps would be better offroad though since they tuck so far up...almost like rocksliders

"The step portion of the AMP Research Power Step is a painted aluminum extrusion and is capable of handling up to 600 lbs. capacity per side."

Yup they can hold up to 600 pounds.

Wish I had the extra cash to get me some Amp power steps, looks good

I love them, but how do they hold up during zero degree weather with salt and ice. Also after wheeling in some mud and sand.

That would be my main concern. Especially with the ice/snow/SALT.

my roomate had them of his f250 it was lifted 14in on 44, he mudded, dunes, rock crawled and anything else you could think of. when he mudded it you just have to make sure you rinse it off good, he didnt one time and they caked up and wouldnt go down, he got under the truck and knocked out the dryed up mud and rinsed them off and they work again no problems. they are awesome steps.

Looks good! I love mine too

The steps are very sturdy and raise/lower very fast. Ive jumped up and down on mine and they are not goin to break on you. They really clean up the look of the truck too, cause tube steps are fugly....

they will hold up fine in the ice/snow/salt. Mine saw plenty of them earlier this year. They had ice caked on them like you wouldnt beleive and they still opened. no rust on anything, you cant even tell they where in the salt.
