Starts once then won't start again
Hi. I am new to forums so I'll do my best from what I've observed.
I have a 2005 Ford f150 xlt 5.4l v8. 136,000 miles. The truck sat for about a year due to no reverse before I got it and replaced the transmission. Now, was driving down the street one day and the truck just died. It would crank and crank but would never turn over. I replaced the entire fuel tank and fuel pump including fuel lines and filter. Code reader says there's fuel pressure. So, in the morning I'll go out and turn it over and it will fire right up. It runs rough with some pinging noises almost like metal hitting metal and then eventually it will stall out if I don't keep my foot on the gas. After that, the truck will not start, it will crank but won't turn over. I've sprayed starting fluid, put gas in the spark plug holes, still won't turn over. Until the next morning of course. A list of things I've done so far..
Replaced starter (used)
replaced alternator (used)
Replaced ignition coils (aftermarket)
Replaced vvt solenoid (both sides)
Replaced camshaft sensors (both sides)
Replaced crankshaft sensorReplaced 4 injectors (first 2 on each side)
Replaced fuel rail sensorReplaced MAF sensorExchanged out all fusesCleaned throttle bodyReplaced ignition switch I am leaning toward a loose ground somewhere but not sure how I go about tracking them all down. Is there a map of where every ground should be? Battery tested good at the store. I have tried all I could think of. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
