Maybe you should check the rest of them, proper torque is 25 ft/lb.

So I was getting the same cylinder 3 misfire again so took out the spark plug to take a look..

the end of the plug is gone… tried putting a magnet into the cylinder head to get the pieces but only metal shavings came out. Should I just install a new plug in and call it good?

See if you can rig up a small hose attachment to a vacuum cleaner and see if anything comes out. Odds are it's gone out the exhaust valve. A borescope wouldn't hurt to look for cylinder damage.

With the loose spark plug, air was probably getting sucked into the combustion chamber leaning out the mixture which caused the tip of the spark plug to burn off.

ahh, makes sense. Got a vacuum in there, nothing but dirt and metal shavings came out. I can probably loan a borescope from the auto store and take a look when getting a new spark plug. What exactly am I looking for in there?

Anything that doesn't look right - valve or piston damage.

I messed up. Snapped the spark plug off. The torque wrench wasn’t clicking so I kept pushing and snapped it off.

not sure what to do from here. Also couldn’t borrow the borescope from two auto part stores they wanted me to buy it for $125.

With the way it broke off with all the threads still in there will this tool work? I need something that's going to be able to unscrew the rest of the plug, and its probably in there pretty tight.

That's what the tool is for. Did you watch the video?

yes, in his case the threads were not screwed in though it was just the bottom unthreaded portion so he was able to screw the tool into the plug and pull it out. I don’t think it would work in my case because I have threads attached to mine and it needs to unscrew rather than pull out. From my research maybe a “square cut easy out” tool would be better?

You could always try a pipe nipple extractor set.

having trouble removing the spark plug. Can't seem to make a dent in the white part of the spark plug. Ive used various drill bits, screw drivers and flat head drivers and I've only removed a little bit of material. I need to make more space for the square easy out extractor to get in there. Thinking about going with a different spiral easy out tool that doesn't need as much space to dig in and extract the plug. Getting to be an expensive mistake...

Finally got it out. Used a neiko multi spline screw extractor set I got on Amazon. Basically a large pipe nipple extractor set. Had to get the perfect fit and it came out with a large breaker bar.
