Interior lights won’t come on

05 FX4. Interior lights won’t come on at all. Tried opening both doors, tried pushing the map light buttons, tried the done light in back all manually and still nothing. I read something about a connection under the door threshold on the drivers side in the wiring harness. Two Violet color wires going into one usually corrodes. I check that, not a problem. Thought it may be a fuse so I went looking for which fuse it was. I can’t find my owners manual but online it say that that interior fuse is inside under the passenger kick panel and it’s fuse number F2.35 but my box doesn’t have a number 35. It goes up to 31 then jumps to 37. I’ve also read on this site about their lights NOT going off and that was a door switch issue needing WD40 sprayed. I sprayed my switched also and that didn’t work either. Can anyone give me some tips?

F35 doesn't have anything to do with the on-demand map lights. For those, check fuse F24 and the battery saver relay.

Similarly, the door latch switches have nothing to do with the on-demand map lights so that's a dead-end idea. Same for the purple wires from the VSM. Those are for the courtesy lights.

Courtesy lights (interior and exterior) can be turned on from the dash headlight switch, or via the VSM when a door is opened or if the vehicle is unlocked via the keyfob.
