Radio stays on

In my 05 f150 FX4, the radio stays on when I open the driver's door. The passenger door shuts everything off.

No wires look frayed...where is the sensor located?

Thank you!

It's inside of the door in the latch mechanism.

You can test it by flipping it with a screw driver. Just be careful you put it back in the right place after messing with it.

I've done it before to keep the door open to trick the truck into thinking the doors are closed while cleaning or doing other maintenance.

My 2007 F 150 just started doing the same thing this morning. Radio will stay on after key removed and drivers door open/closed.
Google search indicates that this might be a bad 'door jamb switch'. Any thoughts on this or the fix/replacement?

Check the wires going through the door jamb on the hinge side of the door.
From repeated flexing these sometimes break. Usually you lose control of the windows on the passenger side.

I have a 2004 Super Crew Lariat as well. I am having the same issue. I removed the rear drivers side wth the screewdriwer from the manual https://manuals.online/skil sill plate and did find a purple wire, however there is only one purple wire... it does not splice into any other purple wire? I even removed the rear plastic panel to trace the wire all the way up, and the purple wire just runs directly into the connector.... there is not two of them???? Simply one purple wire from the front, to the rear.... never is there an additional purple wire....... What other wire would it be other than purple??
PLEASE HELP!!! This is killing my battery every single day...
I guess checking the wires from door jamb may be a thing here. On some ’04 SuperCrews the splice is hidden in the loom, so you’ll only see one solid purple at the connector. The actual door trigger wire is usually purple with a stripe (violet/yellow or violet/green), not the solid violet. Double-check for a striped purple further back in the harness.
