Hey, I am new to this site. I have a 2004 f150 lariat and am having an issue with my electrical. Turn signals, compass going blank, automatic lights go off and centre controls dont work, all at the same time. This all happens sporadically and started when I went through a big rain storm in the truck. Tried replacing the turn signal clicker, didnt help. Thinking cluster but have no idea really. Thoughts??

 

Have you checked your battery. When the battery in one of these trucks gets weak they exhibit some strange symptoms like what you described.

 

With all of those Gremlins, in bad weather, I would suspect wiring. Look at your wiring, terminals, and connections. You could have a bad ground. I've also heard of the fuse box being bad. I recall that a few people have had to replace the entire fuse box. In any event, remove that kick panel on the passenger side and see what it looks like in there. Maybe you have a leak, and every time it rains, the fuse box is wet. Pretty easy for a leak somewhere up top, like the gasket seal around the high mount stop light, to let water in. Also pretty easy for water collecting up top to run down the A-pillar to the fuse box area.

 

yes battery is good, thinking maybe a relay as it only seems to happen when truck is warm/hot
