So the last couple of mornings when I go out to my 04, I start it up to let it warm up (outside temp has been around 20 degrees) and notice the Door Ajar lamp. I get out and one day found the rear passenger door open and the next day it was the drivers rear door. I know Ford had lawsuits about them but I could only find info on the 17 on up years. Does anyone know if Ford will fix this being its an 04? I would think it would still be covered.

 

There is no warranty on a 16 year old vehicle. Your only shot is if there was an actual recall or customer satisfaction program like there was on the 05 fuel injectors - and that expired after 11 years or 120k miles.

 

Before replacing parts, or stirring up Ford, try spraying some white lithium grease in the door latches. Don't use WD40.

Also, don't use white lithium grease in your door locks. Use a lock lubricant (Again, NO WD40!).
