center console swap

I got an 04 f-150 regular cab and want to know if it is possible to put the full center console in it that goes all the way into the dash without switching from the column shifter even if i custom fab a cover for the center shift but want to know if I can and if it'll fit

I don’t think the full flow-through console will mate perfectly with the dashboard since I think trucks so equipped from the factory had a different panel in the lower center portion of the dash that mated with the console itself. I think some guys worked around this by fabricating their own interface, but in the ones I can recall seeing done this way it always looks like something someone fabbed-up in their basement to me. When I did my console mod back in the day, I went with the “stubby” center console that came with the column-shifted trucks because it looked better to me than a true flow-through console that had been “shade tree engineered” by someone on the weekend.

I believe you have to essentially swap the entire dash from a flow-through truck to pull it off correctly - a couple of guys over the years have done it but it’s a big job.
