I need to change the trans cooler lines on my truck due to rusty lines.
I just put new rockers and cab corners, and a new rear bumper on and painted all of that, and a new exhaust, and I want to replace all of the trans lines, too.
I have a 2004 SCREW 5.4 FX4, with the trans cooler. (Not Heritage)
I cannot find out if the lines are the same 2004 and 2005.
Having the Heritage built the same year seems to always affect parts lookup.
One source will list lines as fitting my truck, and another will say they won't fit.
Does anyone know for sure if the trans lines from a 2005 same model truck and engine size will fit a 2004?
I'd really appreciate benefitting from your experience!

This is strange. Compare these 2:

Coolers are identical. Diagrams are identical. 2004 doesn't list the lines but 2005 does. Rock Auto doesn't list lines for 2004 but they do for 2005.

Suggestion? Call Tasca and give them your VIN, see what they say.

 

Yes, I noticed that, too.
Don't know why I didn't just call and ask them. Kinda dumb.
But that's what I'll do; just call and ask.
