This seems to be a well documented problem and found a few posts on here but I've tried everything to fix this and it still happens. 06 XLT 5.4 with 130k miles, I had the transmission rebuilt about 18 months ago (I lost reverse) and I even asked the shop about this, they said it's usually a dirty MAF or air filter. In any case I've replaced with a brand new motorcraft MAF changed with brand new motorcraft air filter, fluids all up to date. I've reset the PCM about 3 times (full battery drain and sit). Yet the hard shift still happens from 1st to 2nd gear only and only when the car is hot and the temperature is hot outside. aside from just dealing with the rough shifts is there anything else I should try? OR should I just keep trying to reset the PCM every few months? Everytime I do it this seems to only work for a month or so (i dont daily drive this vehicle anymore)
