So my truck battery died because I left the keys half cranked... I got it jumped and everything is fine. Except the Radio. Completely dead! I changed out 5amp mini fuse for the radio but still no luck Any ideas? 2006 F150 Scap Lariat. Thanks!

I changed the 5A mini for the Radio Start Signal... going to replace the 20A mini for the Radio Power tonight. I hadn't read fuse panel thoroughly...

Did you test all of the other fuses that might control the radio? You can pull the bezel easily enough (and the tray on top) to pull the radio out and test for power at the wiring harness to see if it's the head unit, or if power is still not getting to the unit. I don't recall, but does the 12V cigarette lighter run on the same circuit as the radio? If so, see the the cigarette lighter heats up.

 

Thanks. I don't think the 12v Lighter is the same circuit/fuse. I am going replace fuse '31:20amp mini' for the Radio Power and see if that works.

 

Sometimes it is very hard to tell of the fuses are blown or not.

Get a digital multimeter and check continuity on the fuses.

 

They're inexpensive so I am just swapping out any that may be causing the issue.

 

update: all fixed. It was radio power fuse #31
