forever on headlights

hey all, been MIA for a number of years and i know i can just search to find the solution to my issue, but i thought i would start a thread and say hey, i miss the site. Whats uuuuupp??? Well got home yesterday morning and smoking hot neighbor knocks on my door to tell me i left my headlights on, hop in the truck and the light switch is turned off, so battery is disconnected for now until i solve this issue, and while I'm at it i noticed the hi-beams don't work when the lights are on. I don't think its an problem with the light switch but rather the relay, and the automatic DRL's and delayed light shut off have been disabled since I've pretty much owned the truck. has anyone else had this problem and can anyone confirm the feeling i have about the relay?

It's definitely a possibility that the contacts in the relay have stuck and keeping the DRLs on. Try pulling the relay for them under the hood and see if they shut off. Then try plugging the relay back in. If the relay isn't the problem, you will feel the relay click when you plug it in...

Check your owners manual.

If you can't find it or it got destroyed use this:
