Led pods in bumper issue

I purchased a pair of flush mount led pods to put in my rear bumper for reverse lights. Turns out there is a piece of square tubing running along the inside of my bumper apparently from the Reese hitch. Has anyone else put pods in there bumper with the square tubing in the way?

How much lighting do you need in reverse? Will LED drop in replacements work for your reverse lamps? With your hitch tube in the way, you will not find a work-around. Your flush mount lamps can be mounted in your tailgate, if you don't mind cutting into your tailgate. But first, make sure that you have enough space. You can, however, mount lamps directly onto the bottom of the hitch receiver frame. I mounted small "eagle eye" style LED onto the lower license plate holes. Bu

t I have a different model year, so it may not be relevant to what you want to do.

I know I've seen them, I thought you just had to mount them kinda towards the top of the bumper. I did this instead, plus jdm astar led reverse bulbs.
