Rearend Noise 05 f150

Anyone have rearend noise? Sounds like a high pitch whine.. Gets louder as you press the throttle but than goes away after you let off it.. I thought maybe wheel bearing but seems like it would scream all the time if it was that.. Hard to pin point exactly where might have someone drive while I hang on to the bottom on a skateboard or something..ha.. I think it's the pinion bearing going or a wheel bearing any body have this issue

Could be a couple different things. More than likely a worn out pinion gear.

Yep, ring gear/pinion gear whine. Check to see if the pinion seal is leaking. The first time I had that noise was on my 59 Chevy and the pinion nut was loose. I tightened the nut and it was quiet again for a few thousand miles.

Since we haven't heard the noise, we can't be positive. We're guessing as usual.

U-joints don't cause a whine, they click.
