Do I need to reprogram with this tire upgrade?

I have a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT 2WD. Currently it has 275/55/18s on it and I'd like to move up to 275/65/18s.

Does this require a computer reprogram?

I believe the 2WD has the 275/55/18s as stock and the 4WD has 275/65/18s as stock.

By the chart I use it will throw the speedometer off 4.1 miles per hour. The dealer can reprogram it if you don't have a programmer, always good to know one of the techs who will do it for free.

Understood. My mechanic said a bigger size tire would affect the transmission negatively. How much bigger he couldn't say. This is only going one size up - just don't want to screw up my transmission.
