Engine Block Heater

I couldn't get my truck to start this morning (2005 Ford F150 Supercrew Lariat edition) and assumed it was due to the -13 degree weather & thought maybe being low on fuel didn't help the circumstance either. Question is, does the 2005 Ford F150 Supercrew have a block heater? If so, how do I locate it?

It's not standard equipment, it's an option. If you have one, there will be an electrical cord coming off one of the freeze plugs.

What was the reason it would not start? Was it that it would not crank over fast enough or that you had plenty of cranking power, but it would not fire?

A block heater would not help with the slow cranking scenario.. That would be a weak battery and very cold temps..

If it cranked strong, but didn't start, then it might be something else?

Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Turns out, my battery is toast so I'll be picking up a new one tonight.
