Lower ball joint space

Just replaced upper control arms and lower ball joints. I noticed there is a gap in lower ball joint connecting the lower control arm to wheel assembly. I torqued to proper spec and wondering if this is normal. Will it shift up once the wheel is on and truck back on the ground?

i tried lifting control up with a jack but can't get the bottom piece to shift up anymore.

Mine did the same. I replaced 1 year ago and everything is fine.
