Have a question for the group. I have a 2004 FX4 with 186000 miles still running original drive train. However, I know my days are numbered so I have a rebuilt transmission on the shelf waiting to replace the original when it goes. I am now shopping for another 5.4. I found a low mileage 2008 5.4 at a salvage yard for $2800. My question is does a 2008 motor have all the current updates that it would require or if I pick up this motor will I have to update it myself before I install it?
