Hey everyone,

Ill keep this short. 2004 f150 5.4 lariat 3v - had a check engine light for a TPS sensor. Had these pop up before but never noticed any changes in performance. Used an old hypertech chip to clear the code and now my truck idles very low and the shift points are messed up and I cant seem to figure out why. I have since tried checking any additional codes but nothing pops up. Used to have a hypertech programmed but took it off years ago but kept the chip only for clearing DTCs. any thoughts? Thanks in advance

 

You have a throttle body issue that is not cleared by just cancelling a code.
Put a Scanner on it and look for the real issue.
Then service for that issue.
